I was recruited to design and produce all physical and digital material, including menus, bags, cops, sticker and stationary.

My client later approached me and asked for professional photographs of their products. Being somewhat new in the professional photography field, I decided I would ask an experienced friend Emelie Josefine to join in. Together, we photographed both clean minimalist menu items and top-view lifestyle shots.

Brief: A major pallet industry actor, needed a modern design proposal for their new website, “with some type of illustration”.  The site is information heavy, and needed a clearer path. They were also missing  a coherent design system.

Solution: My suggestion use the landingpage as a promotional front, that lift their strengths – prestigious clients and longevity in the business. Like many current websites, I used short copy to attract the visitors attention. The information on produce is centered in the mega-menu.

I went ahead with softer aesthetics that was well received, picking the blues from their logotypes, and using existing vectors.

• a 3×3 meter large window shop decal,
• 2 permanent window display decals,
• an outdoor wrought iron shop sign, and
• labels and flyers.

The boutique officially opened in December 2019, in central Malmö.

As the sole designer at the company, my tasks ranged from marketing and print to sketch for web. My primary tasks consisted of wireframing and prototyping for Hungrig.se’s web and apps, as well as for contracted restaurants. In collaboration with our developers, I created user-centered designs that were visually pleasing and consistent with existing concepts.

Hungrig.se won the Gasell Award for fastest growing company in 2017.

Task: Create high fidelity wireframes for splash-pages, landing pages and  order-online pages.

Example:

Kasai is a modern japanese dinner club/restaurant/night club. They asked for a refresher of their website, as they were launching new locations, and asked us to make it look interesting and modern. My role was to develop the concept, design the splash-site, the landing page, and the order online page. The prototypes were then handed to a programmer.

Splash-page: the assignment was to clearly indicate that there are four different restaurants, in four different locations. Mini-Kasai was a new “budget”-concept, and I choose to highlight that using a more youthful yellow contrast-color. I also put banners with the words NEW on the restaurants that were being launched, to further emphasize their difference.

Landing page: I choose to focus on a soft palette, of matte black and blue combined with light pink – inspired by Japanese spring flowers. I then choose dark pictures that felt both inviting and professional. Alluring shadows, short depth of field, professional shots.

Assignment: Design a book cover for a novell of Sylvia Plath.

Solution: The book, “Johnny Panic och Drömbibeln” treats dreams and melancholy, and a lake filled with lost ideas. I used a picture from Israel, taken by my mother in 1988, and a picture of me with my great grand mother, taken in 1984, and created a double exposure.
